Skyflower Series (1980-1982)
My love affair with flowers really began in the 1980s when I began photographing blooms held up to the sky from the roof of my Greenwich Village apartment. I was smitten. These photos were then the precursors to my more extensive dive into botanicals with my scanography images. Many in the Sky Flowers series have been printed as dye transfer and cibachrome prints in the early 1980s.
